Nikola Tesla Educational Corporation (NTEC) is proud to announce that the first recipient of the NTEC’s Nikola Tesla Innovation award is Michael Wolfe.

Michael is a grade 7 student at the Trinity Christian School in Burlington Ontario. Michael competed in the 2015 Bay Area Science and Engineering Fair (BASEF). NTEC judges selected Michael’s Wi-Tricity for his presentation of a Nikola Tesla wireless power transmission. Michael is extremely knowledgeable about the life and inventions of Nikola Tesla.

The Nikola Tesla Innovation award will be awarded on a regular basis to students who are motivated by the legacy of Nikola Tesla to pursue invention.

Michael’s exhibit did just that. Michael Wi-Tricity exhibit was inspired by Nikola Telsa by demonstrating how Nikola Tesla’s wireless transmission of electricity works.

Wi-Tricity garnered Michael five awards in total, including Canada-Wide Science Fair trip. This means that Michael will be going to the National competition in New Brunswick to present his exhibit.

NTEC presented Michael with a cash award, a certificate, Tesla Magazines and two Tesla Books.

Congratulation, NTEC hopes to see you at the 2016 BASEF. Keep up the great work. Nikola Tesla is a tough act to follow, but those who study the past are prepared to build on Nikola Tesla’s legacy and innovate for the future. You have taken the first step, by understanding the past. Good luck in the innovation for your future.
